Skulk Hollow

My kids are 9 and 11 and picked this up faster than I expected, though the two-player only rule means someone's always waiting their turn. The 40-minute playtime is honest, we usually finish in a bit less once everyone knows the cards.

The asymmetric gameplay is the star here—one of us controls the giant guardian while the other commands the fox clans, and it never gets old. At 40 minutes per match, we can squeeze in two or three rounds before work, and the table presence is genuinely impressive for how quick it sets up.

The two-player setup is perfect for a quick game night, and the 40-minute playtime flew by. It took a few rounds to get the flow of the asymmetric combat down, but once we did, it was genuinely tense and fun. Wish the rulebook was a bit more detailed, but the base game is solid.
